Appalanaidu’s Birthday Night of Humility and Simplicity

Article Today, Vijayanagaram:
Vijayanagaram MP Kalishetti Appalanaidu observed his birthday in an unusually simple and meaningful way. Far from the usual displays of grandeur, he chose to spend the day at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Gurukulam School in Kopperla, Pusapatirega mandal, sharing time and food with students.

Serving with His Own Hands
Mr. Appala Naidu personally served lunch to the students and later joined them for the meal. His gesture, described by observers as both humble and heartfelt, reflected his long-standing belief that service is the highest form of celebration.

Sleeping on the Ground
In a symbolic act of solidarity, the MP spent the night on the floor of the students’ dormitory. The sight of a public representative resting on the hard ground among children was widely noted as a mark of empathy and simplicity. According to school staff, the students were thrilled to share space and conversation with their guest.

Inspiration Through Simplicity
Mr. Appala Naidu’s conduct drew appreciation from several attendees, who described the event as a lesson in modesty and compassion. “He looked for joy not in luxury, but in the laughter of children,” one senior leader remarked. His decision to avoid fanfare, they added, stood as an example of leadership grounded in human connection.

Leaders Join the Event
The programme was attended by several prominent local figures. Among them were Andhra Pradesh State Markfed Chairman Karrothu Bangarraju, former MPP Chinnam Naidu, and senior TDP leaders Kandi Chandrasekhar, Suvvada Ravi Shekhar, Mahanti Shankar Rao, and Karrothu Satyanarayana. Other participants included former ZPTC member Akiri Prasad, Denkaada Mandal TDP president Bhaskara Rao, district spokesperson Pani Raju, Nellimarla AMC chairman’s representative Gedela Rajarao, and Sarpanch Association president Rauthu Somu Naidu.

A Lesson in Leadership
The Gurukulam campus became the stage for an uncommon scene — an elected representative sleeping on a mat beside schoolchildren, reminding all present that leadership need not be distant or ceremonial. Mr. Appala Naidu’s understated birthday, built on service and humility, left a quiet yet lasting impression on everyone who witnessed it.
