The work and conduct of Vizianagaram Member of Parliament Kalisetti Appala Naidu drew public praise in the national capital on Monday. Om Birla, the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, commended the MP for his discipline, simplicity, and consistency in parliamentary work. The remarks were made during an informal interaction with Telugu Desam Party MPs.
Tea Meeting at Speaker’s Residence
The Speaker hosted a tea meeting for TDP MPs at his official residence. During the interaction, he spoke about the functioning of Parliament and the importance of constructive debate. When senior MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu attempted to formally introduce Appala Naidu, the Speaker responded with a smile, stating that no introduction was required. He recalled the initiatives taken by the Vizianagaram MP and referred to his regular presence and participation in the House.

The Speaker specifically mentioned the arrangement made by Appala Naidu to serve Araku coffee in Parliament. He said the distinctive flavour had left a lasting impression. In addition, he acknowledged the effort to promote regional produce on a national platform.
