Vizianagaram MP Kalishetti Appalanaidu, along with Andhra Pradesh Minister for Education and IT, Nara Lokesh, met NDA vice-presidential nominee C.P. Radhakrishnan in New Delhi on Monday. The leaders conveyed their warm wishes to Mr. Radhakrishnan on his nomination. They expressed confidence in his experience and leadership qualities.
Symbolic Gesture
The meeting was described as a courtesy call. Party sources said it reflected the support extended by Andhra Pradesh representatives to the NDA choice for the high constitutional office. Mr. Radhakrishnan, a veteran BJP leader from Tamil Nadu, was recently named as the NDA candidate for the post of Vice-President. The election is expected to be held later this month.
