He emphasized that the central government may also need to adopt the “Telangana Model” in social justice and other areas. The Chief Minister was addressing questions via video conference at The Hindu Huddle 2025 event organized by The Hindu newspaper in Bengaluru on Friday. He comprehensively outlined the state’s welfare programs and development plans.

Telangana’s Development Push…
Highlighting the state’s focus on education, employment, and infrastructure development in response to changing circumstances, Chief Minister Reddy stated that numerous innovative plans have been initiated with the goal of competing with leading cities globally. He mentioned the preparation of plans for a Net Zero City and the conceptualization of the country’s first Future City. Furthermore, he noted the abolition of tax on electric vehicles and the ongoing development of a 360 km Regional Ring Road, alongside the state’s readiness for industrialization across different regions. The Chief Minister elaborated on the efforts to develop infrastructure within the Regional Ring Road to attract industrial parks, IT, electric vehicle, automobile, and other industries, as well as plans for projects like a dry port. He affirmed the government’s commitment to attracting investments and promoting industries, IT companies, and other sectors through well-thought-out plans.

Innovative Steps Forward…
Chief Minister Reddy emphasized their approach of proactively addressing every aspect. Regarding the decision to teach Japanese, he explained that it was driven by the understanding of Japan’s human resource needs gained during his recent visit. He also asserted that the socio-economic, educational, employment, and political survey undertaken by the Telangana state has become a model for the nation, aiding in more effective identification of and service delivery to the society. He clarified that the survey benefits not only Backward Classes but also Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minorities, and Economically Weaker Sections. He stated that Telangana has moved forward in accordance with the Supreme Court’s directives and urged the central government to also implement the Telangana Model, signifying the state’s progress in various dimensions. The Chief Minister also mentioned the integration of education in different residential schools in Telangana to promote socialization among children, highlighting the establishment of Young India Residential Schools as a crucial decision by the state government.

Need for Clarity on Delimitation
On the issue of delimitation, Chief Minister Reddy clarified that they are not opposed to it. However, he demanded that the central government first consult with all political parties involved and clearly outline the basis for the process. He stressed the importance of ensuring justice for all states and cautioned against penalizing states that are progressing in development, emphasizing that this is a matter of social and political justice that warrants discussion.
