- Rising Stars, Fading Respect for Governance
- Telugu film industry shows careless attitude towards Telangana and A.P.Governments.
Article Today, Hyderabad/Amaravati: A new debate is heating up in the Telugu states. Top actors, directors, and producers from the Telugu film industry are increasingly showing a careless attitude towards the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments. Many in political and social circles now criticise this growing distance. Strikingly, while these celebrities appear to ignore government protocols and leaders, they continue to depend on state support for permissions, subsidies, and tax exemptions.
Pawan Kalyan’s Protest Highlights the Issue
Recent incidents underline this apparent disregard. In Hyderabad, many film celebrities skipped the Gaddar Film Awards function, named after the legendary people’s poet Gaddar. Their absence drew sharp criticism. Adding to this, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan publicly expressed his displeasure over top actors not meeting Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, even a year after the new government took charge.

At the time, many believed it was a strong message from the state to the film industry. However, this warning seems to have made little lasting impact. A senior Telangana leader reportedly remarked that despite such actions, the arrogance within the industry has not reduced. Analysts caution that this continued disregard could not only strain ties with governments but also risk creating public resentment against the film community.
Governments May Take a Tough Stand
It remains to be seen whether the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments will take serious steps to address this growing attitude within the film industry. Political analysts believe that firm action may soon follow if this pattern of neglect continues. For now, both the governments and
