- Telangana Medical Council Registered 15 Fake Doctors Cases
- Stern Action Against Unqualified Medical Practitioners
Article Today, Hyderabad:
In a decisive move to safeguard public health, the Telangana Medical Council (TMC) has launched stringent action against fake doctors operating in various districts of the state. The council has registered cases against 15 individuals who were found practicing medicine without proper educational qualifications and valid registrations.
Following extensive inspections across Hyderabad, Medak, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad districts, the TMC confirmed that these individuals were offering medical services illegally. These developments have raised serious concerns about the safety of patients, particularly in rural areas where access to qualified healthcare professionals is limited.
Medical Council Teams Lead Intensive Raids
The Telangana Medical Council revealed that the inspections were carried out last month under the leadership of Dr. Anand, Dr. Kiran Kumar, Dr. Rajeev Naik, Dr. Arundhati, Dr. Sunny Davis, Dr. Shirish, and Dr. G. Srinivas. Based on the evidence collected, cases were registered under the appropriate legal sections against those found guilty of violating medical regulations.
The TMC has strongly advised the public to verify the qualifications and registration numbers of doctors before availing medical services. Citizens are also encouraged to immediately report suspicious or unqualified practitioners to the nearest police station or through the Telangana Medical Council’s dedicated WhatsApp helpline at 91543 82727.
Series of Cases Registered Across Districts
A detailed list of cases has emerged from multiple police stations, highlighting the widespread nature of this issue. In Sangareddy district, two individuals running first-aid centres at Malkapur X Road were booked at Kondapur Police Station. Further, a case was filed at Sadashivapet Police Station against a man posing as an allopathic doctor at Sri Sai Ram Hospital despite holding a BHMS qualification.
Additional cases were registered at Munipalli, Marpally, and Sangareddy town, including at clinics such as Sushruta Clinic and Al Shifa Clinic, where individuals without the necessary medical authority were found treating patients. In Sangareddy Rural, a practitioner at Life Polyclinic faced charges for continuing medical practice without proper credentials.
In Medak district, the Narsapur Police booked a case against a BHMS-qualified individual allegedly providing allopathic treatment at K.A.K. Hospital. Several more cases surfaced in Patancheru, where illegal practitioners were running clinics like Sri Sai First Aid Centre, Sri Shiva Sai Clinic, and Nagamata Clinic, among others. Some were even working within established hospitals like Kakatiya Hospital without the required qualifications.
Public Caution and Council’s Appeal for Vigilance
The Telangana Medical Council has emphasized the importance of public vigilance in identifying and reporting fake doctors. Practicing medicine without valid qualifications not only violates the law but also endangers the lives of innocent people. The council’s WhatsApp number has been actively promoted to make the complaint process accessible to all.
The council reiterated that stringent action will continue against those who attempt to deceive the public by offering unauthorized medical services. Citizens are urged to take the responsibility of verifying the credentials of medical practitioners seriously to protect themselves and their communities from potential harm.
