Famous folk singer Mangli has found herself at the centre of an unexpected controversy after her birthday celebration at a city resort led to police intervention. What was intended to be a private party turned into a legal issue as authorities registered cases related to the use of foreign liquor and violation of event permissions. Questions Over Alleged Drug Use
There are growing suspicions about whether drugs were consumed during the party. While the police have confirmed the presence of alcohol, the drug tests revealed that one of the attendees had used marijuana. The police have registered cases against Mangli’s brother, Sivarama Krishna, who reportedly organised the party, as well as against Mangli herself for participating in an event conducted without official approval. Cases were also filed against the resort management and the event organiser, Meghraj, for allowing the gathering without required licences. Authorities are continuing their investigation into whether the event involved other illegal activities.
