Article Today, Amravati:
Director Anil Ravipudi has emerged as the most sought-after filmmaker in Tollywood following the success of his latest film with Chiranjeevi. His career, which began with commercial entertainers, has now reached a peak phase marked by consistent box-office success and strong producer confidence.

Consistent Box Office Record
Anil Ravipudi built his reputation through a series of commercially successful films such as Pataas, Supreme, Raja The Great and Sarileru Neekevvaru. In addition, he demonstrated range by delivering a serious hit with Bhagavanth Kesari. These successes have positioned him as a reliable director in an industry facing frequent box-office setbacks.
Demand Among Producers
With his recent success, producers and leading actors are lining up to collaborate with Anil Ravipudi. Industry circles note that his ability to combine commercial appeal with disciplined execution has made him a preferred choice. As a result, he is now regarded as one of the most dependable directors in contemporary Telugu cinema.
Fast-Tracked Production
Anil Ravipudi challenged long-standing assumptions about films starring major stars. The Chiranjeevi project, which began in May last year, was completed by December 4. Despite a 45-day halt due to the film industry strike, the director wrapped up the entire shoot in just 78 working days.
Creative Adaptability
During a schedule in Kerala, unexpected heavy rain disrupted a planned wedding sequence. However, Anil Ravipudi quickly reworked the scene to incorporate the weather conditions and completed the shoot without delay. The spontaneous decision reportedly impressed the entire unit, including Chiranjeevi.
Efficient Use of Resources
A planned 17-day school schedule in Dehradun was revised due to unfavourable conditions. Instead of extending the shoot, Anil Ravipudi recreated essential indoor locations in Hyderabad. He completed the revised schedule in five days, thereby reducing travel and accommodation expenses significantly.
Strong Budget Discipline
The film was initially estimated to cost around Rs.50 crore. However, through careful planning and tight scheduling, Anil Ravipudi completed the project at approximately Rs.32 crore. Industry sources say this resulted in substantial savings for the producer, highlighting the director’s cost-effective approach.
Praise from the Megastar
Chiranjeevi is said to have appreciated Anil Ravipudi’s working style during the shoot. He reportedly compared the director’s speed and clarity to veteran filmmakers of an earlier era. Such praise is seen as a strong endorsement within the industry.
An Unbroken Run
From comedy-driven entertainers like F2 and F3 to socially rooted commercial films, Anil Ravipudi has maintained a steady success rate. With his latest film adding another hit to his record, he now stands firmly as Tollywood’s most wanted director.
