Education Can Eradicate Poverty, Says Valmiki Foundation Chairman

Article Today, Hyderabad: The Valmiki Foundation celebrated its annual event on Saturday at DMR Gardens on the outskirts of the city. The programme was held with the theme ‘Ekatvam – Many Hands, One Mission’ and attracted wide community participation.

Education is the Key to End Poverty
Speaking at the event, Valmiki Foundation Chairman Surya Ganesh Valmiki said that education is the strongest tool to eliminate poverty. He emphasised that social development begins with access to proper education.

Bicycles and Educational Kits Distributed to Children
As part of the celebrations, the foundation distributed over 100 bicycles, books, and sports equipment to children from rural areas. The gifts were aimed at encouraging children to continue their education and physical activity.

Sanitary Pads Distributed to Support School Girls
With the support of Pratyusha Support and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Manjula Anagani, the foundation also provided 3,000 biodegradable sanitary pads to high school girls. The initiative focused on promoting menstrual hygiene among adolescent students.

Eminent Guests Attend the Programme
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including the foundation’s General Secretary and Project Director Dr. Hari Kishan Valmiki, Skull International Deputy Vice President NSN Mohan, Pragathi Group Chairman Dr. GBK Rao, security studies expert Dr. Ramesh Kanneganti, Monika Reddy, and Kennedy Holiday Travel CEO. Their presence added significance to the celebrations.
