Yadagirigutta to Be Developed Like Tirumala, – CM Revanth Reddy

Medical College and University Planned Under Temple Board
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced that Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple will be developed on the lines of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). Addressing a public meeting at Tirumalaapur in Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri district, he said the temple board—Yadagirigutta Temple Development Authority (YTTDA)—will oversee the establishment of a medical college and educational institutions, which will be upgraded to university status in the future. The aim, he said, is to offer high-quality services just like TTD in Andhra Pradesh, and to make Yadagirigutta a spiritual and social hub in Telangana.

Rs. 1,051 Crore Development Projects Launched
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for various development works worth ₹1,051.45 crore, including the construction of Gandhamalla reservoir. These projects are part of the “Praja Palana – Pragati Baata” initiative. In his speech, CM Revanth stated that YTTDA will not only provide academic and medical services but also take up cow shelters, welfare programs, and spiritual services similar to TTD. He recalled that the temple’s traditional customs are being revived, including the practice of devotees sleeping on the temple premises as a mark of devotion. He also highlighted that the golden gopuram (tower) of the temple, built with 60 kg of gold, has been successfully completed, further enhancing the temple’s spiritual grandeur.

Criticism of Past Governments for Neglecting the Region
Revanth Reddy came down heavily on previous state governments for neglecting the Gandhamalla project, which he said had been a long-pending demand of the local people. He alleged that no significant irrigation project was completed in Nalgonda district during the last ten years. Specifically targeting the past government, he said that Aleru constituency did not receive proper drinking or irrigation water, and the delay in Gandhamalla had left many villages vulnerable to floods. Now, he claimed, the current government has a clear plan to bring water from identified sources to complete the project.

Moosi River to Be Rejuvenated with Godavari Water
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s commitment to cleaning and reviving the Moosi River using water from the Godavari River. He accused some forces of trying to obstruct the project, but asserted that even if it takes six years, the Moosi will be restored. Revanth Reddy emphasized that unlike earlier leaders who only made promises, his government is determined to deliver results and fulfill every promise made to the public.

Government Employees’ Issues Being Resolved
CM Revanth also addressed concerns of government employees, stating that the Cabinet has already discussed and resolved many of their issues. He claimed that the employees themselves are now expressing satisfaction with the government’s actions. Taking a dig at the previous regime, he questioned whether salaries were ever paid on the first day of the month during the past ten years. “Those who couldn’t even pay salaries back then are now trying to criticize us,” he remarked.

Yadagirigutta as Telangana’s Spiritual Symbol
The government’s vision for Yadagirigutta goes beyond just religious development. CM Revanth aims to transform it into a centre for education, health, and spiritual growth—modeled after the success of TTD in Tirupati. With significant investments and strategic planning, Yadagirigutta is being positioned as a symbol of Telangana’s spiritual pride and socio-economic progress.
