Opal Suchata Chuwangshri from Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 in a grand finale held at HITEX, Hyderabad. Her victory, however, is more than just a celebration of beauty – it’s the touching story of a young woman who turned personal pain into a mission of hope and awareness.

A Life-Changing Moment at 16…
Born on September 20, 2003, in Phuket, Thailand, Opal’s life took a dramatic turn when she was just 16 years old. Doctors discovered a lump in her breast, and she had to undergo surgery to remove it. That difficult experience deeply shaped her outlook on life. Rather than feel defeated, she emerged stronger. “That moment gave me confidence and a new purpose – to raise awareness about breast cancer,” said Opal, recalling how her health scare sparked her journey into public life and social service.

Strong Academic Background and Multilingual Skills…
Opal studied at Kajonkietsuksa and Triam Udom Suksa schools in Phuket. She is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science and International Relations at Thammasat University, one of Thailand’s top institutions. Fluent in Thai, English, and Chinese, Opal combines her academic skills with a deep sense of social responsibility.

Rising Star in the World of Beauty Pageants…
Her journey into pageantry began in 2021 with the Miss Rattanakosin contest. She gained national attention in 2022, securing the third runner-up position in Miss Universe Thailand. In 2024, she won the Miss Universe Thailand crown and took home several special awards. Later that year, at Miss Universe held in Mexico City, she was again third runner-up and received the prestigious ‘Voice for Change – Silver’ award. Finally, in 2025, she achieved the highest honor – winning the Miss World title in Hyderabad, outshining contestants from 108 countries. Along with the crown, she received a prize of Rs.8.5 crore and brought global recognition to Thailand. Her journey has now become a symbol of strength, confidence, and service – inspiring countless young people worldwide.

Runners-Up from Ethiopia, Poland, and Martinique…
The Miss World 2025 event in Hyderabad was a grand affair. The first runner-up title went to the contestant from Ethiopia, followed by Poland as second runner-up and Martinique as third. Opal Suchata’s victory has not only brought pride to Thailand but has also made Hyderabad a memorable part of this international celebration.
