Who Will Get the Ministerial Mantle
Article Today, Hyderabad:
The much-awaited Telangana Cabinet expansion is finally taking shape. After a long wait, Congress party leaders are hinting at a possible expansion by the end of this month or early June. With the Congress government completing one and a half years in power, several leaders are eagerly waiting for their chance to join the Cabinet.
TPCC Chief Breaks the Silence
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Mahesh Kumar Goud has put an end to the speculation, stating that the Cabinet expansion will definitely happen by the end of this month or early next month. He dismissed rumors of differences among ministers, saying that some people are spreading false propaganda.
New Faces Likely to be Included
Sources close to the party indicate that several senior leaders are vying for a spot in the Cabinet. Nizamabad’s Sudarshan Reddy and Adilabad’s Gaddam Vinod are reportedly in the running. Mancherial MLA Prem Sagar Rao is also said to be in contention. However, the inclusion of Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy, brother of existing minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, remains uncertain.
Possible Shuffling of Portfolios
With new leaders likely to be included, speculation is rife about possible changes in the portfolios of existing ministers. Some ministers’ performance has reportedly not been satisfactory, leading to rumors of a potential reshuffle. The portfolios of Education, Home, Mines, and Municipal Administration, currently held by the Chief Minister, are also in the spotlight.
Who Will Get the Chance? Who Will Get the Shock?*
As the Cabinet expansion looms large, the big question on everyone’s mind is: who will get the chance to join the Cabinet, and who will be left out? Will there be a shuffling of portfolios? The answers to these questions will have to wait. One thing is certain, though – the Telangana Cabinet expansion will have a significant impact on the state’s politics in the days to come.
