In a case reminiscent of the crime thriller Drishyam, the Ahmedabad Police unearthed the skeleton of a 35-year-old man, identified as Sameer Ansari, from beneath the kitchen floor of his own house. The remains were found late on Tuesday night during an inspection by the Crime Branch, almost a year after the man was reported missing. Investigations have revealed that the murder was allegedly committed by the victim’s wife and her lover.

According to police officials, the main accused, Ruby Ansari, conspired with her lover, Imran Vaghela, and two of his relatives, Rahim and Mohsin, to kill Sameer. Ruby is said to have complained that her husband had been abusive and obstructed her extramarital affair. Acting on a premeditated plan, Imran, with Ruby’s assistance, slit Sameer’s throat late at night. The body was later dismembered, and the remains were buried under the kitchen floor. The accused then sealed the area with cement and tiles to erase any trace of the crime.

Shockingly, Ruby continued to live in the same house with her two children for several months after the murder. She reportedly told neighbours that her husband had gone to another city for work.
